is this an audio controller or some type of radio wiring loom was cut not connected bolted to the rear speaker section

i thought it might be some type of old police radio/scanner

any ideas i googled it nothing really comes up

is general electric company

Not too sure exactly what it is but that silver thing that says TDK on it appears to be a tuner of some description, so I'd say it's a radio.

By the way: it looks like it has quite a bit of stainless steel in it, if you wanted to dismantle it and scrap metal it you might get a few dollars for it.

i thought it might be an audio device as it had a pc plug cable run to under deck but cut and another wiring loom wired into dash harness,bit of a mistery this thing

I reckon it is a car phone receiver/transceiver as the TDK branded device has tx and rx on it meaning transmit and receive.

Its a car phone box. looks like your car at some stage had a uniden analogue car phone installed. one of the retro cool ones with the curly cord.

Back when using a car phone was a thing or awe, not a legal issue costing points and money.
