Hey guys, im a little confused as to what model car i have.
its a 2005 Falcon, Build date is December 2005 i bought it as a BA MkII. But with further inspection into the car, its may possibly be a BF? Reasons i say this are the front bumper is in fact a BF XT bumper, Exactly like this ( i dont have a camera so i just got these off the net)  And i was reading a thread about the differences between the BA and BF and the tail lights are different (the bf has more of an LED look to them)  The left tail light as a BA tail light, and the right is a BF, the thing is my tail lights are exactly like this, my left are BA lights, my right are BF lights.. im so confused! lol And also there is no MkII badge under the falcon badge on the boot.. What on earth is my car? |

I would say it is likely that you have a BA mkii that has been in a accident.
Hopefully not but thats how it seems. Throw up some photo's. |

Have a look on the plate in the engine bay and post up what model number it is and we should be able to tell from there.
It is possible that it is a BA MKII that recieved a few BF goodies |

dont have plates in the engine bay as far as i could see, there are stickers in the drivers side door tho. Not sure which codes you want, Model - 18533, vin 6FPAAAJGSW5E5110, SIDO - 872218

well on redbook the BA MII's have "JGSW[b:s***]3M[/b:s***] in the VIN, and the BF's have JGSW[b:s***]5C[/b:s***] and so yours says JGSW[b:s***]5E[/b:s***] i assume its a BF btw, theres a digit missing from the VIN.... should be 17 |

This is a list of all the BA model #'s and yours ins't on there, so I'm assuming yours must be a BF

It does seem like it actually an 06 BF XT, even tho build date is December 05? im guessing they sold the december 2005 builds in 2006 as 2006 models?

Sometimes the build date and the date on the plate are different. My EB shell is stamped 2 months older than the date on the plate. It doesnt get the plate/sticker till its done as far as I know. Theres a few holidays in December/January, yours may have been started as a BA and finished off as a BF as the shells are the same are they not?
Ford isnt exactly unknown of for doing things like this. A mate of mine has one of the early XK panelvans which never got sold. It was sent back, rejigged as an XL and sold. |

what puzzles me is the tail lights.. why are mine different? like the above picture, are all BF's like that?
