Start saving for a VCT engine? :p

If you plan on replacing internals, which you will probably have to do to get 150ish atw you will prolly not need the xr motor to start with?

If it were me, I'd grab an AU XR6 engine (non V.C.T) and crank that up. Or if you're REAL keen, see if you can get hold of an EL 2 XR8 (or AU+) 5.0 litre motor + tranny. How good would that be???
If my motor ever shat itself beyond repair (unlikely, I know) I'd go the 185kw - 220kw V8 motor. Yeah!!!

The simplest engine to install would be a non vct AU XR6 engine. Cheaper too.

5.0L is an expensive option, probably cheaper to buy a new car with a 5.0L in it!

AU motors are a bit harder to install into ef-el as u need to section and reweld the k frame

I'm sorry mate, I know your looking for an XR6, but that picture of that Lancer has got to go. I see enough of them on the roads as it is, without having to see them on a Ford website.
I'm not having a go, nothing personal, I just can't stand to look at that Lancer anymore....
