Hi all my car is leaking a lot of oil from the timing chain cover and thought it would be a great time to do this while i do my serpentine conversion (EB XR6)
I will be dropping the font of the sump and will also be chaning the tensioner while i am at it. The one question i have is what sealant should i use for the timing cover? also if you think i should watch out for something or have any tips im all ears. thanks Mo

Any gasket sealant will work fine, along with a new gasket itself either from ford directly or aftermarket.

I thought there was no gasket for the cover? Can some one confirm this
Thanks

Ah yeh the lower one is a massive PITA when doing it in the car. I used a bit of fishing line to hold it up.
