Forget throttle body on EA, get anything upto an EF motor and drop that in, everything will bolt up and work fine.

XR motors are worth it, but a cost of a motor depends on price, condition and k's travelled.

Do you have a budget in mind for your engine upgrade.

Forget the throttle body, they flow pretty well as is.
Work the engine, then get to the tb.
