auto's don't mean less power! that a look at fast xr's and mine same dyno same time i made 143rwkw and 367rwnm and he made 144rwkw and 371rwnm, mine's auto and he's a t5 also he's running a cam one size bigger than mine. and fast xr's right about dyno's and track times you can't judge a car by the number's it pull's on the dyno but how the car drive's on the road and down the strip.

Finally!!! not a "autos sap 20kw more then manuals" post... most of the time autos would be lucky to make 5kw less..

Yeah but if you converted to a t5 and ran it again same day same dyno, i'd bet my left nut you'd gain 10-15 kw. It was the case with mine at least...

stuff that my mates car runs 14.2 with a T5 and 3.23s i run 4.11s Auto and stock stall and are even with it... he is also dyno tuned.

Edit: if your auto wasnt top notch i belive you would def lose power. my auto is about 99,000ks old its perfect.

i don't think a t5 in mine will make me anymore power as my old figures were 131rwkw and 311rwnm on my old auto and now i'm running a full rebuild hybrid box and 2800 highstall so i gained 12rwkw and 56rwnm on my new auto and there's still a lot more in her if i can get the timing bumped up as mine's coil pack, where regie had 135rwkw with his auto and then made 143rwkw with the manual conversion so he made only 8rwkw where i made 12rwkw with the new auto.

I really think a billet shifter or ripshifter is essential on a t5. Definately come to apreciate the shorter throws.
