hi
im full of questions this week.
there is a sensor of some kind on my thermostat housing it has 2 vac lines running off it . but the ford manual doesnt say anything about it..

im doing the bbm conversion and its getting in the way of the water neck because im using the ea thermostat housing..

The connector you are referring to changes the air conditioning mode from fresh to recirculating if engine is about to overheat so that some of the air conditioning load (heat build up) is removed to assist the cooling system. (as per factory manual)

ohh

but ive noticed that the later ones dont have it...

so can i just bypass it...because my recurculating/ fresh doesnt work due to a broken lever on the flap that changes it over so mine is always on recurculate...

If your fresh/recirc does not work I cant see how it could hurt by disconnecting. Just turn off air con if it starts to overheat

Disconnecting would be accomplished by plugging the vacuum hose , not connecting the hoses together as per the (hopefully attached) diagram.

I found it in the work shop manual im blind :oops: :lol:
i was looking in the cooling section not the heater and aircon section..

thanks for your help...

lol oops... i joined mine togather... altho im swapping to climate control unit from a fairmont ghia when i install the T5 in a week or 2 so i guess it dosnt matter... oh and im missing my air con setup, so that also has to go on
