Auto or Manual?
If auto, get 4.11 diff gears and an lsd at the same time if you only have a std diff, also a 3000 rpm hi stall converter. Get a custom tune done at a decent shop, ported and polished head, bound to do a low 14. There are people doing 13.7 from those mods so should see you near the low 14's if not into the high 13's

Seriously why do you even care what your mates Honda does? What I mean is, beat that car and either he does it up or the next faster than yours car comes up and beats you...so, you drop 5 grand or more so that you can say you can beat a Honda?? I reckon if going fast is that important, forget the BA and build a light track only car. Other consideration here is if you modify your BA to that kind of level it won't be very nice to drive, it'll suck juice and probably be defectable. Keep it for a road car and build yerself a track car....

LSD, good NO2 kit. Sticky tyres. Its been done before. As mentioned, if you want to do it without boost or Gas, your not going to see change out of 5k.
Or the otherway. Buy a cheap XJS V12 Jag, put a big nitros kit on it. Early in the piece, top gear did this, got the car low 10's. yeah they pulled the interior out. but for about 5k in our money, it owned alot of fast euro trash. Awesome episode, might go watch it now. Otherwise

I mean, if you DO want to go fast in a BA, go for it - but don't expect it to be cheap, and be aware that there will ALWAYS be something quicker. If you beat your mate whats to stop him ploughing 5 K into his Honda?
