Sorry to start another damn zorst thread, but im in the market for a new one, i was pondering what would gimme the best note and higher performance, ive been eyeing off the JMM DEV1 kit, or the Redback 2.5 sports sys. I wanna hear what im buying before i buy it.

Im sick of d***head with oversized or wogpipes buzzing around, and i refuse to become one.

Anyway thanks. :)

Talk to an exhaust dude and tell him what you are after - they will be able to recommend what to get.

There was a thread on here before the crash i think, and in it was a clip of about ten people exhausts. Most exhaust of similar size give around the same increases, but the note can be different. A lot of people seem to go for the redback exhaust, and about half seem to get it with the rear resonator removed. Try pming voxace, he MAY still have a clip of his car. Sounded nice :D

Search button is in the top right corner. Go the Lukeys for mufflers (Stainless Steel Ultraflow looks awsome, and the race mufflers are top s**t too), nothing sound better - but steer clear of there extractors!

I have a 2 1/2 inch cat back with front and rear mufflers with a BA tip. Sounds pretty sweet under throttle. Cost me 410.

But talk to your local zorst shop and shop around.

I went for the redback with the rear resonator.
Sounds nice, and with the extractors it gets a bit of a crackle when it's engine braking.
A little bit droney on the freeway(3.45 doesn't help that) but not enough to drive you nuts.
Just enough to make you want to plant it so it opens up a bit more :D

Stay clear of a turbo muffler setup, was talked into getting that and it sounds tinny.. Would rather go a straight through ie ultraflow muffler then a non-straight through.. good luck, also get mandrel bend.

i was actually thinking of buying an arc welder and cutting it all up myself.... welding in a nef muff and away i go......

That will be interesting an arc welder will melt holes straight through an exhaust, learnt the hard way, luckly tho i was just messen around until i bought my new system. Lukey 2.5, magna flow, and pacies. Sound great and cost $790 all up. I havent really heard a Redback exhaust but im sure it would sound just as good. LOL

Lol, yeah, arc welders definately arent the go for welding thin stuff. Yes, it is possible, but you'll be much better off with a mig in the long run!

Guys MIG welders ARE arc welders.

it's just a mig feeds the metal for you.

if all you have is a stick welder you can use it to tack the bends, straights and mufflers in place then have a welding joint finnish off for you.
