low cost and performance are not things you are going to find going hand in hand.
put simple, you get what you pay for. |

As blackjack said, lucas pads are excellent value for money and easily outperform many of the expensive brands out there. I have run them on my falcon and given them hell and they have performed well beyond what I would have expected, the only criticism I have heard about them is they tend to glaze up if used on the track or for extended heavy breaking periods, but again its the same deal with a lot of the more expensive options.

blackjack_original wrote: Ok, i don't know how many people will agree with this. But, i say go with cheap lucas pads. Eventhough i've not used them on the falcon yet, they are the best value for money in my opinion. I didn't believe it either when i was told about them, but they outperform EBC greenstufs which cost around ~$150. Alot of amateur rally drivers use lucas pads. Not to mention, that alot of people "in the know" reccomend them, and swear by them. The only downside is they dirty your wheels a bit more, but honestly, who cares.
Thanks blackjack for your advise i will go for the lucas pad. Cheers Mark. |

go the lucas pads, im running them, Hoppers stoppers recomended them over ebc greenstuffs, and they were right, great stopping power, esp when some heat is in them, and the downside does exist, black wheels in 2 days (dep on driving style)
soo three votes lucas.... p.s. if you want GREAT braking performance for the $ get a set of DBA's was some of the best money ive ever spent on my car, @ around 100 a disk + bearings. Rushed |
