When you install the 9" diff you will carry another 300kg of unsprung weights and loose 100hp at the bags Fit it only if you need it
3.7 is a good compromise, decent on the highway, and snappy around the block, but increase your hp a fair bit and first gear will probably end up in smoke.

but the fact is it does absorb horespower, and sixes, even modified dont have the horsepower to compromise for 'toughness'
i say get a standard BW lsd, as for the ratio, all the opinions are already her leave 9" for muscle cars

yeah, IMO 9" is massive overkill for a 6. From a strength perspective, you dont often hear of someone breaking a 28 spline BW, and there are enough ratios available. Not as much parts available as 9", but there isnt a shortage.
my preference for ratios: 3.45 for street, 3.7 for street/strip, and 3.9 for strip.

I was surprised to find out in recent readings that a particular GTHO was using a 6cyl diff that was coping just fine with the rather large amount of torque going through it, so one might say that the 9" is overkill... 9" is piss poor anyway, the Pajero has a 9.25" with 4.636:1 and air locker

Yeah but the 4x4's have big rubber so it isnt quite as impressive as it sounds.
