about 4,000 people have done it.

Almost Identical, fuel maps are slightly richer/different and auto trans shifting point is higher and matches a slightly bigger cam better.

Also the XR ecu will accommodate a lumpier cam better than a stocko ecu.

The other difference is the compression ratio of the motor and the Fuel Regulator, Neither will harm your motor ir an XR ecu is used.
In fact, the lower fuel pressure Might actually benefit a bit better as Falcons usually run a little rich.

They have a different fuel, ignition, and shift pattern maps to std ECUs.

You might wanna wait a little bit more than 6 minutes for a reply,
Most people do actually hows better things to do than sit in from a of a PC.

In fact... maybe they dont' as we' don;t have as many problems as the Rival competition, which seem to always be in the garage.

I don't know if there would be any benifit from it on a std engine.

Well lets say you find one, and Auto and under $150.. Buy it and use it.

If its quite expensive give it a pass.

If its Manual, and around $200 grab it.

Lets say... most people have an XR one if they can find one... for that famous
"Ive got and XR ecu" factor. and the Chicks LOVE IT.

Some people claim the XR ecu gives them a better Idle too.

I noticed f**k all.. but again.. they're sought after and cant harm you to have one.

Not bad, however the XR equipped Fairmont ones have the same fuel maps as an XR, but not so aggressive auto shift.

still cheap!
