Yer thats the shot. Some kids with to much cash step out of little 4 cylinders and spent a big $$ amount on a quick car and go an kill themselves. Good to see you got some brains and ED XR6 is a good car, got plenty of poke but not a weapon.

Definitely. I'd be the first to say that having to much power would be a bad idea for me, as I'm still learning to actually "drive".

I plan on goin to Calder park or something (Where do you go?) to take it around the track a bunch, learn how to really control it. Take it on the skid pans etc.

For now, I just want a real nice cruiser.

I take mine to heathcote when time money permits. I live near calder but it's always packed hard gig getting a run I like the laid back atmosphere at heathcote to, makes a good weekend trip also. But of your keen just go to calder plenty of stock or fairly stock cars getting down there, just don't be worried about 10sec cars passing you. The way I see it is they owe alot of money lol.

Pretty much as LOOKALIKE said, if you want to do it up, do it in stealth

Haha, I'd s**t myself having a 10 sec car passing me.

I might have to check out Heathcote. I don't think it's particularly close, but If it's easier to get into than Calder, might be worthwhile.

Cheers.

It's not on as often and it's a fair hike but yer laid back I like it. Just make sure you check all the guideline before you go, don't wanna drive up there to hear you can't race cos ya don;t have a catch can or something like that.

ah I see, I don't reckon a worked 5litre would be a good idea for any new P plater to be honest. I managed to cause enough mayhem with a standard 6 before i jumped in the 8. Back on topic though if ya wanna mod ya car on the new P plate rules it's definately gotta be done in stealth mode lol.

"Stealth Mode" - I laugh.. haha

move to WA and drive what you want :D, for now...
e series xr6 5 speeds have some fair grunt for a new driver. get a bigger exhaust with a resonator so its not overly loud, could probably get away with extractors if you put the heat sheild back over them, put in a k&n panel filter which fits into the factory air box, cops wont notice a mild cam. then just work on making it look good with a set of 18's and superlows, and the darkest legal tint. that gives you a pretty nice car by anyones standards.

number 1 rule dont drive like a d**k and you'll never get pulled over ;)

There it is. It explains much of what I want to do to it, and some tips and ideas from a few posters.
