Ohhh Yeh E series 5.0 L V8, real power, pretty bad when the sixes had almost the same power from the factory. Takes a lot less money to make a six boogey than a E Series V8. I know whta I would use for a boat anchor and it's not the I6.

yeah the 8 is puss without any decent money thrown at it, but having said that, i'd love to drop one into my car just for the sound...... im sure the 4.11's would help things along :)

the only V8 falcon motor i'd take is the quad cam, but even then i'd still prefer the DOHC 4.0

I liked it when the EF XR6 was quicker than the XR8 and also the EB XR6 and ED XR6. Maybe that's why they brought out the XR8 sprint because they were embarrassed of there 6 flogging the 8.

its from an el or xh ..

the number= the year of manufacture
eg 91= 1991, 95= 1995...

that would explain why a 3.9litre clutch was too small, cause I have a 4 litre flywheel. So my car is a 1991 EB1 with 95 model 4 litre block/flywheel and clutch ,3.9litre head and CFI.
What a bitser !!!!!!
goes good anyway...the thing I dont understand is that the engine serial number is the same as the ID plate chassis number, how is this possible?............just checked again and the engine serial numbers are not evenly stamped or in a straight line, sound suspect? or are you allowed to restamp an engine...I'm thinking not but vicroads has inspected and given the green light.
