Ride: ED Fairmont Ghia

Location: Brisbane
QLD, Australia

I drive an EF Fairmont with an AU motor otherwise stock and I cut the restrictor mouth out of the airbox.

anyway im wondering what other people get out of their cars on the freeway... and city

my ef does 7.4L Per hundred on the freeway as an average and around town/traffic around 11.5
Im really happy with that, Is it normal for these cars to get as good as if not better economy then the latest falcons?

My EL gets about 8.5ltrs per 100k on the highway and around town it sits around 13ltrs per 100k which I think is good considering the size of the car and my driving style :) .

On gas freeway driving my car chews 13.4L/100km and in the city economy drops down to 16.8L/100km.

Even though it feels cheap filling up at the pump, the numbers tell a different story. If LPG and petrol were ever the same price than a worked V8 on petrol would be more economical.

cant beat my 7.4L extra urban / 11.5 urban :P it combines under 10L per 100 but its not really a fair comparison v8 heavier car although id be happy with yours doing that!
