i no this is not in the right part of the web site but i am in a hurry i had my 17 au xr 8 mags stolen off my car in broadmeadows vic toria last night
the wheels are el offset and have an orinal set of tickford centre caps they look brand new 90 % rubber hardly any scratches if any has been offered these or no any thing about them call me on 0409 301 839 i am offering a reward for the return of my wheels and to the person who stole them ia m going to cut off your hand so you can no longer take what other people work hard for please move this post to another location if it is in the wrong spot as i wanted as many people as possilbe to be able to see it thanks send sms if you want to to be ann oymous

s**t mate - not good - but lesson learnt now maybe - fit ALL mags with lock-nuts... hard (and expensive) lesson to have learned though. hope you catch up with the f**k

Hmm, I'm running my EL GT rims without lock nuts now. The last TWO sets of lock nuts I've bought, have disintergrated when removing them (not rattle gunf or me, always hand tightened). Last lot died in the week before the Canberra Show'n'Shine made it DAMN difficult to remove the wheels
Must go get more.

Belive me lock nuts mean nothing to those who know how to get around them, Most wheel steelers know how to get them of quick , hell my mechanic
did 4 lock nuts in 3 mins without no key on a customers car because she forgot to give him the lock nut key. Anyway the other thing to do in this case is park your car in open and visable areas so you dont acomidate the thiefs

NRMA covers my EL-GT rims for $100 each
Nowhere near repalcement value - even for replicas.

Just car insurance and RACV, wont insure my rims (el concorde 16") lock nuts wont deter any real theifs, but it will stop someone saying, "hey habib i like those fully shcik mags, go get your tyre lever", id love to see someone get the lock nuts off of my wheels, they are the real short kind, it looks like im missing a nut off each wheel.

at least ill stop those one off theifs, i know of even dealers getting their rims knocked off. sucks big time seeing rims are so valuable but a very easy steal

I had my EF fairmont broken into at work the f**k got my locknuts & i didnt know if they got my home address from the car so I went to bunnings and bought $65 of chain & chained the rims to the diff & stablizer bar with 4 padlocks all up $110 but I didnt loose my rims as rubber & rim package is over $4g's so it was a good idea but since then I have 2 sets of locknuts per rim & thinking of buying a set of genunie tickford lock nuts so if any 1 tries they will be there 4 eva it would be easier to take the car away then f**k around gettin 3 sets of locknuts off now that is a head f**k

Isn't it a bad idea to run multiple sets of lock nuts. I thought they don't 'hold the wheel' the same as the regular nuts. I know the lock nuts I had have a square/flat base, while the regular nuts are chamfered (I dunno help center the wheel or something?)

i run 2 sets of tickford lock nuts
still didnt stop some f**k trying to steal my rims they got the locknuts of two wheels and broke two of the nuts and studs so i had to take the rim off with the disc attatched and butchers the back of the disc to cut the stud free from the disc

Thats a bit excessive, plus the insurance company would start to notice the pile of dead bodies around your car. Now a nice low ampage 20,000V tasar shock will do the job.
