The good ole au2 monty g has just had its tranny fluid partially flushed and refilled. due to this simple fact, i now can spin the wheels when i floor the gas off the mark, something i have never been able to do before!
no mods, nothing, just tranny refill i await my exhaust and manual tranny

by dropping the trye pressure, i ran mine with 215/60r14's and dropped them to 22psi in them, big burnout to get em hot, then let it have it off the mark, i was dropping the clutch at 3500-4000rpm, with minimal spin if any.

a while ago someone asked pyro how and he said he gets a fair bit but like yobbo says you just got to take off at right revs and have appropriate tyre and pressure
alot of guys run stockies so they can fiddle with this

Careful dropping the pressure too much or it will actually causes more wheel spin for street tyres.

Meh, I can spin the back wheels on my Fairmont easy, but they were low-tread tyres I guess. Don't think I'll try with my new RE92s though, want them to last.

Ha I tried that..Dropped presure to 18Lb still didn't work... Soft springs, better tyres for drags[back to 15"?] Just be gentle on clutch..Auto's are fine!!!

better/wider rubber
better launch technique different engine characteristics differrent gearing different suspension condition and components more/less weight there's a million and one things that can change between a car that hooks up and moves, as opposed to one that will light'em up

At the drags I used to run about 18psi in my rears for more traction, but having a SS diff, it still spun like a bastard even dropping the clutch at 2500rpm.
Now I have an LSD, I haven't been to the drags yet, they were cancelled due to rain I've had a few plays on private roads, and dropping the clutch at 2500-3000rpm with my 17's just leads to lots of sideways action and a grin from ear to ear, but still not sooper dooper traction. I'll have to reassess the situation at the strip with my 15's and some low preasure soon.

dont drop the clutch, slip it a lil till you start moving, then let the clutch out and floor the accelerator

In mine I only give it half throttle through first, then floor it a bit after it changes into second. Any more throttle in first and during the 1st to 2nd change and it just spins... wheel spin can get very annoying

Interceptor,
isnt it a good idea to slip the clutch all the way over the 60ft mark?? i used to slip the clutch in my ex's laser (4sp man, 1.6) and that would take anything till i got into 2nd gear..

dont slip the clutch longer than you have to, just slip it long enough and only just enough to keep traction while getting going
