okay. massive dummy question.

I have redback extractors at the moment, and I have a feeling my o2 sensors may be a bit on the old side. So I wanted to pull them out and have a looksy. anyways, i'll be jacking the car up later this arvo to check the one at the cat, but its the one thats supposed to be at the extractors that i cant find.

is it supposed to be there, or am i blind/stupid, cause i can't for the life of my see where it is. even ran my hand down the pipes until i couldn't reach anymore, and still couldn't find a place for it to plug in.

Hey mate,

The BA's dont have a 2nd o2 sensor at the CAT only one on the extractos and that hole you can see in you pic on the right is where it goes. I got a BF but i actually just replaced my 1st o2 sensor today (will get the 2nd one turned off during tune so no point replacing), and it was heaps brown and dirty. I can take a pic oh where it is if you like but it should stick out like a sore thumb. The wires to it are hard up against your firewall on the driver side of the engine.

Cheers

Phil

That pic is just from google (i used it as a reference to try and find mine).

So it SHOULD be sitting pretty much same spot as in that picture? I'll go out and have another look, but for the life of me I can't find the thing lol

Rotate the pic to the left once and then it will be up the right way.

Hmm got me stumped mate. can you even see the hole in the first pic of where it would plug into. If you can see where the cable runs to then whats at the end of it?

Here is a video of mine - that green plug is where it plugs into the car

oooohh. sounds like a engine re-build commin up mate.
blue smoke is oil. so your oxy sensor isnt gonna have any effect on that.
if it was black smoke its probly runnin rich so the sensor would help.
