in the last month we've done over 2000 k's.

we've used normal unleaded and that e10 stuff.

we drove to Grafton on Saturday with a trailer load of stuff,i thought i'd check everything, water is fine,no vis able leaks, oil, well its down to half way line on the dip stick.

head gasket is new,all other gaskets have been replaced.

its not blowing any smoke and theres no external leaks, where'd my oil go ?

It's obviously burning it, you're not always going to see smoke either.

Have you checked for leaks through bell housing, aka rear seal?

Was the car flat where you check it normally, checked it low?

Has it lost any oil since?

Was the car hot/cold when checked at home and away?

Is the car normally checked first thing in the morning, just after shutdown?

Extra load on on the engine like towing a trailer will cause greater oil consumption. Less than a 1L over 2000km isnt that big of a deal.
