Why wouldnt it be good to run 95/98 RON fuel? how does it wreck the cat? never heard this before.

neither have i. thats kinda odd......i mean the 95/98 RON is better, should run better....burns better leaving less bad emissions and less work for the cat....so either hiflow or not the car should run fine?

btw if u can get a hi flow cat for the same price as a standard might as well get hi flow.....as dan (YTMONT) said.....the standard cat is fine but the flanges need to be made into 2.5" instead of the 2.25"......either will do.....another thing....don't hollow out the standard cat if u want more flow...EPA will be up your a**.

buy a cat from ebay or something pretty cheap....some guy is selling 2.5" cat converters...brand: magna flow...for 135 + postage....not bad for what others have paid. you could get a redback exhaust from one of the stores too but they are about 400 or something for the BAs i think.

Its up to how much money you can spend.....

hope that helped

phong =P~

Di Filippo can't be beat in my opinion.
I've had fitted a complete system and couldn't be happier with the result, both in improved sound and mid range go.
Perhaps a little more expensive than some systems, but being fully matched front to back is always a good idea.
Cheers
Tony

Ive got the 2.5 redback exhaust with the tuned extractors, high flow cat and rear box replaced with a hotdog. It sounds sweet cruisin round at 2000 rpm

Chances of getting done by the EPA for hollowing out a cat are next to none phong, because if they sent you to mcleod for testing you'd simply make sure you replaced it before you went.
I thought those magnaflow cheap cats off ebay were proven to flow less efficiently than a factory cat in 99% of circumstances.

And what's this about PULP wrecking a cat? Care to provide any proof of this?

has anyone got a sound file they can share with a pacemaker and redback setup, thats the combination im thinking im going to get down the track, also, is everyones opinion that the hotdog does sound better, or does it just sound like a rice burner? it'd be good if we could get posts of sound without and with hotdog.
