Hi all, i'm a newby here got a lot of great info here but .i need to know which is the better engine ive got a '74 XB windowless i'm currently doing up, but at the moment its got a XC iron head in it 76 DA 6015 C AND LAST LETTER COULD BE THE NUMBER (4) OR AN ( A ) .........also i have log motor sittin on the bench with the code 72 DA 6015BG .All i know about these numbers is the year date ...76XC and 72XA If anyone could help with the rest of code i would be able to get some sleep lol for the life of me i cant find code breakers anywhere

the 6015 simply means it's a block casting
the two number at the start are the year that part was last revised. There are many parts that carry a year number that is far older then the car, EG: a 1997 XH ute still uses a 91DA numbered intake manifold. the CA and BG I'm not sure about. |
