As the search isn't working and I need a new set for my au, I have to ask which brand would be best and what size?

I have a set of MSD leads on my I6, i have the crimping tool to make them so they are affordable, they are great they clamp onto the plug and coil with rediculous pressure. They are a pain to get on but they will never fall off. they make eagle leads feel like you are pushing playdo onto the plug. I had eagle 8.8mm leads on the car but i felt no difference changing from a bosch 8mm to the eagles. the MSD leads are 8.8mm with the spiral core, but the only difference between them and the 8mm is .8mm of insulation which some claim helps with the reduction of spark waistage through the heat shield resulting in more spark transfer. OK? all i know is they did help my idol slightly and they produce a bigger spark at the plug than the eagles 8.8mm (arked both to rocker and compared). i don't know how much you would be paying for MSD leads, would not be suprised if it is upwards of $130, i have a rocket industries account so they only cost me $5 a plug and $2/M for cable, thats why i gave them a go. They are worth the money though. I did see a set in a magazine that had a dual core they looked like they might be worth looking into but i can't remember what brand they were. If you don't want to spend big though stick with the eagles they do clamp slightly harder than the bosch and the clamps don't seem to flog out as quickly.

Eagle leads a probably the best bang for your buck, top gun are okay although some people swear by them and other people think there not that good. The factory motorcraft red leads and NGK leads are also good quality...

I just had a look at their website and the 8mm ultras have a resistance of 5500 ohms/m and they have another set there that is 2000 ohms/m. What difference would the resistance make?

What ever you do don't get those Top Gun leads.....They are CRAP! The same goes for those red Repco leads too.
I use Bosch leads on my ED and I've never had any problems with them.

i bought new bosch leads to replace my Eagle leads, and the bosch ones were absolutely s**t quality, so i took them back and got another set which were exactly the same.

so back on went my old Eagle 8mm leads..... very good leads for the money. Dunno if its a good or bad thing but the eagle leads have very low resistance, mine didnt show any resistance at all on my cheap multimeter, but the new bosch ones had between 7 - 11 ohms.

the car has made decent power using these leads, so i assume theres nothing wrong with the resistance findings?
