Gday all,

one of my lifters is going mental.

i have 1 to replace it but how do i know which 1 it is??

i've done a search on the site but cant find anything really on how to find what lifter it is.

can anyone help?

take the rocker cover off and run the car like that. you'll hopfeully be able to tell tehn/

can u run it without the rocker cover on i thought that oil would go everywhere?

nah not until you start reving it. i ran mine for about 5 minutes with no cover idling in the driveway was fine.

Run it with the rocker cover off like twr7cx has said.
If you can't pin-point it, a length of hose connected to your ear :P and run the other end over each lifter.
But it should be loud enough to find without that.

turn motor manual via harmonica balancer...as each lifter somes to its maximum height grab it and lift up and down the one or ones with heaps of movement r the buggered ones...mark eack lifter as u go along so u dont check them over and over again
