The resistor tricks the ECU into thinking the engine is constantly cold, thus it dumps in more fuel. more fuel = more power right. NOPE (you need more air to match it as well). All you do is increase you're fuel bill

read the sticky's on the top of the 6 cyl thread..
They are a resister that is put inline to make the ECU change the mixture.. it won't help and reduces engine efficiency. |

for a tech contributer, you really missed the ball on that one. put gas on your mums e series and I garauntee you will be level pegged. au's are better car than e's in MY opinion, I love the look of a series2 or 3 au, the series ones were the essential dud at the start of the model life. cant beat a lowered au2+ with nice wheels. they are sex. imho. especially with the sr/xr spoiler. lowered fairmont ghias look trick too. mate at work has a c2r kit that looks almost identical to a ts50 kit just a bit sharper in the nose. looks awesome lowered and in black.

quick question, is yours factory LPG or aftermarket??
Duel Fuel factory change ECU maps when running on LPG. Mine will spin off the line on LPG but wont on petrol.... go figure that one out. Yep mines factory Duel Fuel

dual fuel is your problem, it will kill the engine performance, running on petrol will never runs as good as it would if it was on dedicatied petrol.

Yep mines factory Duel Fuel i know as a fact that: * Factory fitted Tickford LPG conversion: * Including no loss in power. * Dealer fitted Parnell LPG conversion: * Some have commented it handles dirty gas better than the Tickford unit. * Only a small power loss. http://www.trueblueford.com/Specs_Pages.htm Also i have heard of some cars running better and stronger on LPG... but no i haven't figured out why thats the case. |

isnt gas a higher octane? if the car is switched to LPG does it change the ECU mapping to suit that? with higher octane it should advance the timing to get the benefits of that... but on the flip side higher octane = lower actual energy in the fuel if i remember right, so you use more gas to get the same distance but its cheaper to buy...
