I dunno, EAs and EBs all came with climate control.. so, I think he just doesn't know.. maybe because the colour doesn't match.. the EA and EB ones were white?

EA/NA and possibly early EB/NC had no ambient air temp readout on the display, and also didn't have the button for it on the bottom left, they have a fresh air button instead.
The only other thing that I can see is that the colour is black instead of being silver/grey, not that the colour would make a difference to the operation of the unit. |

This is why it won't work:
That paricular unit is from a ED and ED's have different Fanspeed controller wiring. It will plug in and work ok, it just won't operate the fan. BUT, It IS possible to fit a EBII unit to EA-EB and still have if work 100% with no mods

get one from a EBII. You can tell the difference as EBII ones don't have "CFC Free" written on them
