Lets Just say an XR6 Turbo although it looks the same as a regular XR6 , It is different in many ways...
The main thing that is stronger is the drive train and auto transmissions. Then you start with the electronic bits...

N/A has higher compression - adding boost will require running 98 to stop pinging and only minimal boost can be added. The rods will be the weak link, they will bend like bananas. As mentioned the driveline will need to be upgraded as well, the BA N/A diffs are snot. The gearboxes are snot behind a turbo. Even using a factory turbo, manifold and all that jazz will require the ecu to be flashed. Not just a plug and play affair. Easier to sell and buy a turbo model. Be Hella cheaper too.
