Hey Guys,

My Rack and Pinion has decided to start squirting steering fluid all over the ground when I go on full lock so I'm looking for a replacement and was just wondering if all the Rack & Pinions for all AU series and versions are the same or whether the Fairmont or Ghia version is different or the AU 1 is different to the 11 and 111.

I have a Fairmont Ghia AU 1 1999 model

Thanks in advance :-)

Ghia would have Speed Sensitive steering.

It's leaking from just right of the cylinder where the steering wheel arm goes in and it's coming out left of the RH boot if that makes sense :-P

This is the Rack & Pinion I was considering getting http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/151027110812 ... 1423.l2649

Maybe I should go to Bursons, Autobahn or Supercheap and see what the price is of the Fairmont Ghia AU1 part brand new

I had a quick look at my car and it has two lines going into the rack and then 2 lines going into one side if the steering wheel cylinder another 2 coming out the other side as well as some sort of electrical sensor into the same cylinder... And according to the photos on eBay I can see it has all 6 of those lines but I can't see from the photo whether it has that electrical sensor on the back

Well I made a trip to supercheap auto and the searched up the fairmont ghia and the regular falcon and the part no was psr127 for both so sounds like they are the same thing which is good.

I think SSPS started with the EL's and ended with them.
