Your biggest restriction is the gas if its a general 'mixer ring' setup.

It means no matter what you do, your still sucking in air through the eye of a needle.
Put your thumb and pointer finger together, that's how much air is getting into your engine at this stage.

LPG Injection fixes the air restriction issue.
I have a 1673 Wade camshaft in my car and I run it on Petrol and LPG. I have an Impco style LPG system which uses a carby type mixer, and this creates a restriction in the air intake when using petrol. This basically means that the upper rev range, from 3500rpm up doesn't get as much air as it could due to the LPG gear restricting the amount of air it can flow. So, your answer is, yes it is harder to modify, but if you use LPG injection, the restrictions are removed. Cheers BenJ

But with dual fuel there will always be a trade off.
Running on LPG won't like cams with much overlap as it drops your dynamic compression down (which is already lower than ideal to allow you to run petrol).
