hi guys got a ef fairmont 94 sedan, every time i seem to bring my window electronically for half the way goin up it slows down and the rest of the way it goes at normal speed ne help would b much appreciated i dont want it to fuk up like my back one did that doesnt even work now

Sorry to hi jack, but I have the same problem, but in reverse.
Mines will go all the way down without issues, but sometimes when I power it back up, it seems to shift out of place and get stuck. I have to tap down on the power window button, then tap up. Then down, then up and she usually goes up. It's like it's out of allignment. My mate had the same problem in his Futura. He said he just sprayed the rails with some sort of lubricant (which was only a temporary fix)... |

If you want to do it properly you have to get the regulator replaced. But like the guys said just lube it up and it should work ok so long as you keep the lube up to it

i think the lube will eventually have the opposite effect. the silicon spray will attract s**t to stick on it, making it harder for the window to travel up

well after replacing my one of my window regulators that i sprayed with silicon spary i noticed a heap of stuff stuck to it compared to the other regulators that i never sprayed.

i just adjust mine, works every time.
there are 2 bolts holding the window to the rail, just play around with moving it around. it may take some time, it took me 1/2hr to get mine right the first time. oh and once you've done that, the graphite down the rails won't hurt either.

CRC silicone spray works fantastic.
Mine used to never go back up without my hand helping it up. Now after silicone spray its like brand new and now I can have window races. |

go to ford spares this is a common problem, ford came up with a fix in the form of a liquid lubricant, only needs to be applied once every service.
should be about $30, last time i checked, for a bottle that does 300 windows approx. assuming that the window is all lined up etc, and just jamming because of friction.
