lol sorry about that but its a good cause
when i say thin... umm open your bonnet and look at the engine bay relays, you will see the 4 wires that come out, 2 thick 2 thin... i hacked up a loom to get them. the wires im using are also loom wires and also thicker automotive wireing for the thicker earth and power wires. |

with each relay,
1 of the thick wires is fused battery positive. the other thick wire is to the thermo fan. 1 thin wire is (in your case) ignition. the other is earth.

That's what I drew up and it overloaded
You will need to use a resistor if the relay inputs are geting 12V evidently |

yeah i think the realy was also stuffed...
are there differences between the relays? i think one might be a 5 pin and the others a 4 pin. ill try the A/C one and see what happens |

Huggie there is no difference between the two except the 5 pin has a terminal for both the "on" and "off" position where the 4 only has a terminal for "on"
Your best bet is to chuck a multimeter set to read amps in series with the relay on the thin wire before it grounds |

actually some 5 pins have a double up terminal (87).
what you drew up shouldn't have overloaded the circuit, you should not need a resistor. you more than likely have a fault somewhere.

ok all i got from the last diagram was a s**t of smoke... and i mean alot of smoke, like a mini gary myers... so i was given this one to try. so tomorrow night or tuesday ill unsoldier the wires and try it this way.

the differences are
first diagram | new diagram switch | earth earth | battery + battery + | thermos thermos | switch so those 2 listed are what change between each daigram |

what a relay consists of is basically a coil of wire and 2 contacts. the coil of wire is magnetised and therefore closes the contacts and creates a circuit.
30 is B+ 87 is Output (thermos) 85 is Ignition 86 is Earth 85 and 86 are your coil of wire (low current).

Huggiebear do you have the original wiring harness for the thermos.

no. they were custom fitted to an EB. so i started with the 2 wires from each thermo

Are you going to use an EL ecu to fire every thing up
