Hey guys I have this problem in my front suspension in my EF II ghia where it makes a wobbling/wooshing sound. There's no play in the front end from what I can tell and all the bushes are either ok or being replaced. It's a wobble and the noise sounds kind've woosh woosh woosh like something is loose, only noticable when rolling ad the window is shut, it sounds very bassy.
Anyone had a problem like this before? I've tried everything and can't seem to fix it. Cheers. |

If the bearing is stuffed it won't matter how many times you adjust or grease them.
And yea for ef/el I think its like 30nm or somthing.

Hey mate, new bearing didnt fix it I swear it's something else.
It's very wobbly (sounds like a tremolo effect) and I can feel it through the steering, couldn't be anything like the stabiliser bar could it? |

Check your tyres. If you can, rotate the front to the rear and the rear to the front, jack up the rear and run it in gear at idle. You will see if there is any anomalies in the tyre. Don't forget to put it on stands and not rely on the jack to keep it up. I had a similar problem on a Customline years ago running 14 inch wheels. Found that the tyre was slightly out of round, ran it for a few days waiting to get new tyres and all of a sudden the bulge became worse. If it was still on the front I don't think having it blow would have been good.

Hey mate I've tried all four wheels off my eb mont which aren't buckled and none fixed it, could be a loose power steering rack?? Or buckled radius/stabi bar (no marks on any so doubtful) I'm really confused.

Did you install the new Races that came with the wheel bearing kit? I had a similar noise from drivers side front wheel. Replaced the bearings-packed correctly etc, knocked out the old races and installed the new ones into the hub. All OK now.....
