I finally had the opportunity to get out to my mates farm, who has a huge tarmac pad out the back (burnout area)

Now this is the first time ive attempted to perform a 'on the spotta' burnout..

Firstly i tried it in dry, and there was no way it was going to spin..next was a little water..to my amazement still would NOT spin!!!

He didn't want to put oil on the track, so gave up..

the car is an auto ed 6, tried in first and d..

is there something wrong with my car (lack of power???)

do a serarch, its been coverd a mill times,
it all comes down to either a s**t driver, crappy diff/tranny and tall ratios.
auto falcons never were very good for burnouts.

sounds like it's lacking power, or you have a really crap diff ratio. I managed to get my old EA to spin with a 3 speed and a 2.77 single pegger, but it took some very old 14 inch bicycle tyres, I think they were 185/70/r14. lol

This is going to sound stupid but use either petrol or methanol. Slipperier than water, evaporates fast and creates nice smoke. I've never had it ignite on me but probably best to stand by with a fire extinguisher

First of all mate- forget the petrol, methanol, water and oil. And dont burn ya brakes out.... drop in a 5 spd, put her in 1st, rev her to say 3,500-4,000rpm and let the clutch up-turn the wheel to the right.... if that dont work and quite frankly its the only solution really just give up- save ya petrol, and ya tyres!

If it doesn't spin then find the nearest tree or rock face!

Sounds like you dont have enough power, you should be able to stomp the accel and it will start spinning
