Only if your motor is a hybrid or if not you will need to use your EL head on the AU.

Just can't mix and match AU and E-series running gear. You can also run AU running gear on an E-series head without problems.

Hey guys
So, I think I might be able to get my hands on a EL motor - hybrid with the AU at 170,000 km. Just wondering what I should get off the car that will help make the install into my EF easier ? |

o yeh you would have a few mechanics around the sunshine area that would do that for ya.i asked around every where and cheapest i found was in campbellfield for 500bucks but thats with me modding the sump which is going to cost around $160 roughly.which i have to leave now and get done.

Hi mate
I have the engine but now looking for a reliable mechanic to fit it for me. Struggling a little as some are saying that " oh once we have the engine, we will check the welsh plugs and change them " Im looking for around $600 - $700 i think, just need to find someone im comfortable with or someone that they recommend |

Agree...I'd say get the welsh plugs done and if you can, get a new heater bypass piping if the one on the engine is slightly corroded. It is a good idea to get the pain in the a*** jobs done while the engine is out .
