I have my Ford XD '79, it has a c4 auto init at the moment, and i would like to change it to a 4 speed single rail any one know of a good place in VIC to get the conversion and clutch kit....?

also i need to get it fitted to the car or how hard is it to do yourself?

biggest C*** of a job is pulling the pedal box out to replace it with a manual one, otherwise provided youve got some way of lifting the gearbox into place, you shouldnt have a problem (personally i'd pull the engine out...... i *hate* getting gearboxes in from underneath

best place to find a conversion kit would be to ring around the wreckers and see what you can find
