Ok, i've decided to put an au engine into my xe. I just need some answers. Will the engine mate up with the c4 auto? Are there any other modifications required for the conversion?
Later on i will be adding twin turbo's, but for now i would like to get it going, perhaps a little worked.

Any help is much appreciated!

I'm pretty sure Tickford6 or someone mentioned a while ago that there are now mobs doing bellhousing's to fit C4's to SOHC 4.0L I6's.

Dellow do bellhousings (http://www.dellowauto.com.au/main.html)

You will probably run into the same sump->kframe issues as e-series (as well as sway bar issues).

Depends what you want to do there. if you want to drag it the leave the C4 in there.

G'day

I'm doing an el conversion slowly.

I'm going to change the engine crossmember to an xg, using xg engine mounts and an xg swaybar.

As for gearbox, the fourspeed auto wont fit without modifying the tunnel. You can get bellhousings to mate up to the older auto's someones making them

Cheers
