is it possible to tell the difference between the t5's and just normal 5 speed transmissions that came out in the xf's, the last few xf's had t5's i believe? and will a xf t5 be able to fit in a eb xr6, any help will be appreciated...

Xf's had t5 fitted to them and I believe they are the same shaft length as the e-series t5's (id check though). XF's also got borgy 5 speeds which will probably break pulling out the driveway behind a SOHC.

Id try and find an eb or later t5 if possible. Better gear ratios and a stronger box (probable lot less k's as well).

BTW - this thread should probably be in the driveline workshop
