Hi Guys, first time poster here.
My ute started leaking coolant the other day, my mate came round with his pressure testing kit, and we worked out it was coming from the water pump. Bought a new pump, pulled the old one out, and whilst cleaning and prepping for the new pump, i noticed the steel hose which goes into the back of the pump is rusted where the o-ring goes on. i've heard that there's an adaptor i can get to replace the end of the heater hose? but super cheap auto didn't have any/didn't know anything. Does anyone have any more info on these adaptors or any tips on fixing it? Cheers, Thomas |

I believe the adaptor you are talking about is a spacer that was needed for the BA Falcons. Not sure if this will help you but here is a link to one on EBay and fitting instructions.

Thanks for your reply SWC.
after looking at the pipe further i noticed more corrosion throughout the pipe, so i'm going to have to replace the whole thing. Ford no longer sells them, but Grant Walker Parts in Bayswater (VIC) sells them. |
