XG's produced during the ED run will have the EB/ED head (91AA cast in head front)straight rocker cover with separate half moons, early 94 models on (late ED) will have the 94AB head, rounded half moons cast, so rocker cover is one piece. Head is essentially the same bar those minor casting differences.
Your only issue is getting the correct rocker cover gasket if it ever needs changing. All you need to ask for is an EF/EL one. EDIT: Being an XR, there should be a 'T' cast in the head front - the cast numbers will be slightly different, as the numbers above are for the std head, e.g. your's will probably have 94DT being a Tickford head.
