Guys,
Just a quick one. Does the XH ute / Pano' get the EEC-IV or V? and is the engine the corresponding ED engine or the ..... ??? Cheers,

it depends on the XH in question
XR6's got EEC V (i believe) with the Broadband Manifold lifted directly from EF/EL whereas the standard utes get EEC IV with the ED setup |

It should be on air cleaner ? If not count the pins eec lV has around 60 but eecV has around 120..Plus it should be on computer itself, take kick panel off and check...

XH series 1 got the EF engine, and XH series 2 got the EL. Dunno about the EEC-V or whatever... but I know that much..

Yeah should be written on the plug.... pin count can be dodgy.... EL engine used 60pin EEC-V which looks like XF-ED EEC-IV... EF used a 104pin EEC-V. Checking airbox sounds like a good plan too.

I am thinking of buying one and given the mods I am considering I may as well buy one most suitable first up!
There is some differring advice here? Does anyone own one that can tell me for sure? Ideally I would like an EEC-V one 'cause I will stick a EL Police ECU in it ...!!

I'm 99% sure it will have the 60 pin plug whether is XH or XHII which means your EL Cop ECU will work. I know the XHII's came with the BBM and thermo fans, but i'm pretty sure they were controlled by the EEC-IV (Yep.. go figure.. EEC-IV doing BBM and THermo's!) The XHII ECU's are a great find for EB-ED owners

I must investigate... im glad they came in manual... Cheers for that waggin.

Well .... I have come to the conclusion that the XH series only have EEC-IV, with the exception of the XR6/8 whith received the EEC-V ....
BUT! .. Of interest to some was a discovery I made today. I looked at an XH Pano that was build date July 1997 that was a FACTORY TICKFORD DUAL FUEL vehicle that was running on an EEC-IV!! Those out there who are fans of dual fuel in the EA-ED vehicle may be interested in this version of the EEC-IV, it was it seemed, a very integrated system, including the standard fuel gauge reading the capacity of each fuel tank as you switched fuel types. ... and before anyone asks ... I did view the TICKFORD gas installers compliance plate! The vehicle did not have the green rocker cover however like the similar build date sedans with the factory dual fuel conversions. anyway, thanks all for you input .. Cheers,

You can still achieve this with an aftermarket system, with a compatible LPG tank sender - a changeover relay achieves the switchover. This is handy also if you're running a trip computer.
