The smartlock (engine immob.) has died after a few small hernias. Is it the same module as in earlier/later models?
Can it be bypassed?
How?
Shop saws can't be fixed, take it to the wreckers, too good a vehicle for that.

you can get smartlock bypass modules..ive seen them on ebay from time to time.
i got one from a member on here (66coupe) you can send him a pm and he will be able to help you out...

You can replace the BEM with an EF low or mid series unit. This is assuming the problem is in the BEM. Also these BEM's 2nd hand are getting quite old now.
