just finished a new mould for the xh snorkle, basicly same as the plastic ones but i filled in the tubes in the back of it to open up the hole inside to as large as it can go.Also made it to match the airbox lid i make so that the finish is the same.i'll be making a full set shortly and having them painted the same color as the wagon (le`man red ).should look ok i think.

nah probably not, cause you can already buy them.i only made the xh snorkle cause i wanted to modify it to open it up a bit.what advantages would there be in making either of the above intakes in glass over plastic?

Strength. Fibreglass is stronger than plastic....And would probably withstand heat better than plastic.

yeah your right the glass is stronger and would withstand heat better but the cost of moulds would make the whole project unviable verses the very small gains that would be made.

no real benifit but when i brought the snorkle and had a look at it i would of thought that it would be open right threw it instead of have the two tubes running inside it.so i made the mould with the tubes taken out so it is wide open with no restrictions in side.will it make a deference to performance "NO" but i can make these things so i thought why not. Also i wanted it to match the finish of the airbox lids i make as the fibreglass lid with the plastic snorkle next to it didn't look right.
