ive never bled the cooling system ever..
ive just filled the cooling system, turned the heater on so the coolant flows through the heater.. taken the car for a short run to get it up to operating temp,keeping an eye on the temp.. then let it cool and check and top up coolant if necessary.. |

Once at normal operating temps, put on cap and your done so you mean run it with heater on and cap on fully and remove to top up, or cap loose, or leave off till temp gets up.... hole was from either overfilling or not enough air bleed... small hole on yop of overflow... |

If you are talking about the small next to the radiator cap, well that is the overflow and it is meant to be there and if you have overfilled it, then yes water will be coming of there.
If it has blown a hole in the top of the resivour, then it means that the radiator cap is the wrong one and there is too much pressure in the system
