thanks for your enquiry Darkr. On further analysis of your description and thinking about what the end result might be. I've come to the conclusion your car is f**k. I would suggest dressing yourself in clothes suitable for the weather outside, making your way to your nearest vehicle sales establishment and being the purchase of a replacement motor car.

;)

where was the water level? was it up to the centre console or windows?

i reckon you should first pull out all the carpet and seats maybe door trims if they are fabric and dry them out. pull out the ecu and dry it out. use a hair dryer or air compressor and blow out under all the dash ect. it might take some time but if you leave it things like elecricals and body will start to corrode after a period of time.

i dont think you would need to replace the diff oil as its a sealed unit.

think u might be over exadurating 200mm would have the whole city shin deep in water, was about 40mm according to the BOM in 1 hour which is still a fair amount

yeah 20cm would have caused severe problems talkin thousands of homes under water, some low lying ares would be affected with 20mm of rain. hobart took about 40 in and hour yesterday which is pretty bad but 200mm would have had the place looking like new orleans after hurricane katrina

Hello guys, I have done some delicate testing with my Xr6 to find that it is indeed Not a submarine.

After this testing I had water all through my interior and engine bay. This resulted in water entering the engine and causing my oil to turn a 'milkshake' type texture. I think I may have to change my oil where needed, such as the engine, diff and gearbox.

Do you think my car will be okay after this?

i havent LOL so hard in so long. i'll up the bid and i'll give you $55 for it and hope i can get some goodies off it, shot gun diff gears and head
