Hi all, would anyone know what gains there would be in running a stock XR6T motor in a N/A XR ( BF ute ) heard from a couple of people is that's what they do when the turbo s**t itself they just take it and run with a normal manifold etc, guess it would be a ecu swap as well.

XR6T has lower compression ?, would have the stronger internals - good ? & N/A xr6 stock 190kw so a X6T motor WITHOUT the turbo would be ....KW ? better gains or run like a dog ?

Reason is plenty of low K's XR6T motors here in NZ but 99% have the turbos & manifolds flogged of them.

Then if the turbo bits did appear wouldn't much drama to hook up.

the turbo engine minus the turbo will have less power and torque compared to its higher com non turbo brother,,
