hey im thinking of buying a xr6t engine im just wondering where there engine numbers are and is there numbers on the block and head that should match are they casted into the block or stamped any info or photos would help thanks

im not certain myself iv'e looked before and couldn't spot them other then the sticker on inside of the door jam..i wouldn't have a clew..

ok i spoke to a ford mechanic and he showed me where there numbers are its on the exhaust side on the rear casting on the block its like centre punched numbers you must get some emre cloth and scrub it hard to see the numbers hope this helps any1 who is looking for the engine numbers like me

Not sure where their located but have been told that they're not stamped but more printed dot matrix style.

Also dont rub too hard and dont use anything too harsh on the numbers or else you will wear it off
