Diffs don't add power.

other than the ratio differences the diffs are the same from 6 to v8 anyway.
and as said you wont gain any power from it.. if you want a bit more accelleration try getting a xr6 diff this will give you the 3.45 ratio and lsd.. |

as what theyve stated already ^ the diffs are the same between 6 and 8 cylinder up until BA where they change to a dana60. only difference is the ratios, if your looking at getting quicker acceleration off the mark than you are worthwhile gettin a XR diff (usually 3.45ratio) or a fairmont diff (usually 3.23) which will give you a little more accelleration but a little less top end.

actually bw(borg warner) is now owned by dana...
so the newer models will be marked as dana diffs but may still be the bw design...??? or they could actually be the full dana design..?? |

troyman you're right. The model numbers for the BA+ diffs are the BW78 and BW84
The 78 is used on non-XR 8's and non-turbo 6's. The 84 is bigger, strong, and uses a different LSD mechanism (clutches, instead of a cone style), found on the XR8, XR6T, and FPV models)
