Sounds like you've got one of those fangled clutchless autiomatic gearboxes. I hear they do 180 in 1st gear, 50 in 2nd gear (but the car goes backwards while doing this) and 3rd gear for when you don't want to move at all.
I used to have a car with one of those, but it also came with this strange electrical fault. If I bumped the headlight stalk up or down it'd make this bizzare ticking noise and the corners of my headlights flashed orange! I've seen other cars on the road do this so it must be a common problem...

Tell me more about this car then.
What is the car? What size rear tyres are you running? What is first gear ratio?

The car is a ford Capri powered by a lexus V8 running 225/50/16 tyres
no idea on first gear ratio something around 1.8 I think.

Sounds like a nice car.
Ever run it down the 1/4? What does it do?

Ive noticed this in my dads work cars too, all holedn ones that ive drive - vt/vx/vy no vz yet change by themselves.. not sure at what kms tho. your so funny Daniel

h... if i sit on the rev limiter i can just get 150 out of first. that is at 13000rpm though. then about 180-190 odd from second. i think it's something like 240 from 4th
oh, and it's a 6 speed. should be good for about 315 top speed but it's limited to 299 (no i haven't tested that limiter yet) |

Are you talking about the V16 twin supercharged twin turbocharged Double overhead underslung motor in your Ford?? Or the 4.0 atmo sixpack on gas? Coz you know how well theses 4.0's go on gas. .

nah nah, it's the bike. it's good for about the same 1.4 mile times as your drag car i just noticed. it's a bit touchy though. has a tendency to lift the front end up at over 100km/h.
