Hey anyone know if Zexen tries are any good?
Need new back tires (suprise suprise) and i was gonna get kumho ecsta's to match the ones on the front (225/50r16). Been told $150/ea for the kumho's Was at local mechanic getting new radiator hose on the eb and he said he had a pair of Zexens that he could sell for $125ea .... but seeing as i've never heard of the brand i thought i'd send out some feelers to see if they're worth it... http://www.nexentire.co.kr/english/prod ... 0&expend=1 If its not those tires its a very very similar tread pattern, and they're new (ie sticker + chalk stripes).. So what do people think about these tires? Also has anyone seen them when looking for tires and how much were they?? |

i have 225/50/r16 nexens..
they seem alright had em on for a year now. hold good tread, no tyre noise, not as much grip in the dry or the wet as say good year eagle f1's which i had on before, still manage 2.1 60 foots with them though. good value! i would get them again for that price. i paid (125ea new) |

I use nexen / roadstone on my taxis. For what you pay, they are really good value for money. I usually get 80 000 - 100 000 out of a set on some taxis running 215/60/16 (AUII).

I have Nexen N3000 235/45 17s on my car and have no complaints. Very good grip, low noise and look good. Could be a little bit grippier in the wet but you can't have everything for $150

I'll second the Nexans. Good agressive treaded tyre. Had a few isses with them rubbing due to lowering and them having a wider/flatter tread pattern than most 235/45/17's. Good handling, fairly quiet, could be a little longer lasting. Wouldnt recomend if you like to spin the rear wheels a little, mine wore fairly quickly when abused.

You get WHAT out of a set of tyres? You do realise that 100,000kms is about 10 months use out of a set of tyres. I get around 40,000-50,000 out of a set of goodyear eagle NCT5's or dunlop monza's. |
