hey guys i got a 15" clarion sub and the box it is in is s**t and made out of 12mm MDF , i also got told that the box is too big, does anyone know the dimensions for a 15" sub??

all depending on the specs of your sub, search google for a program called AJ sealed designer. It will tell you the size of the box and dimensions required.

check clairions website, they'll have refrences to the subs and recommended box sizes, use sealed its the smallest, unless you still have your spec sheet cuz that'll have an exact box size for you.

Yeah try and use at least 19mm or 25mm MDF, and if the box is too big it shouldnt matter 'too' much. It must be f**k huge if it's too big for your average 15" sub.
WinISD aint a bad little program either. |

shouldn't be that much, go to bunnings and buy some thick mdf, take it to the cutting dude and tell him you wanna make a box, cut it up so all u gotta do is screw it, juss measure up the space you need

well my box for one 12 inch eclipse sub is 1.8 cubic feet. it pretty big but it sounds a heap better than the 1 cubic foot before.

my only problem is that i cant find the specs for the sub anywhere but i will search on the net coz i no the model number, i will just cut the box myself with a jigsaw
