are you trying to ask what wire size we recommend?
bit more info on what you already have? |

Your alternator should handle it fine (depending on what system is designed for), however I would look at getting either a deep cycle or quality gel electrolyte battery though.
If you are asking what guage wire to run, there are plenty of charts up that take into account current and distance between power source and amp. Just remember to factor in the inefficiency of your amps when working out what current will be getting drawn (been a while since I have done any but from memory around 60% for Class AB amps and 80% for monoblock/digital amps). If you are serious about entering spl comps etc I would relocate the battery to the boot as you will be able to run smaller gauge wires and negate the need for a cap.

hey guys
i have 2 alpine MRP-M1000 amps atm i am running just one on 2 type-r 12s. i ran 2 4 guage wires to it and my 4 channel because i couldn't get 0 guage at the time. ive got a 1.5 farad cap. if i move my battery to the boot can i run just one of my 4 guage wires back to the starter motor? do i still need my cap? what are 2 good subs for these amps for an spl setup? i was thinkin maybe 2 type x subs or a pair of lanzar optidrive subs, i've seen these on you tube n they look f&#$%&in awesome would an underdrive pulley slow the alternator down too much to keep up with power demand? |

You'll need to run 0g to the starter if you move the battery, and I wouldnt even consider an underdrive pulley....
I'm not a fan of caps, most properly setup systems dont need them. Seeing as you already have it, I'd keep using it. Subs, I'd go and listen to some if possible. |
